Contaminated air is drawn into the scrubber tower, where it passes through a packed bed or spray chamber. Here, a chemical scrubbing liquid (acidic or alkaline) reacts with the target gases—such as HCl, H₂SO₄, NH₃, or NaOH vapors—neutralizing them effectively. The cleaned air then passes through a demister section before being discharged.
