This scrubbing system works by introducing the contaminated air into a vertical tower, where it comes into contact with a counterflow of neutralizing liquid—typically an alkaline solution for acid gases or an acidic solution for alkaline gases. As the exhaust gas passes through the packed bed or spray section of the tower, chemical neutralization and absorption take place, effectively removing harmful components such as hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), ammonia (NH₃), and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) vapors.
Key Features:
High removal efficiency for both acidic and alkaline pollutants (up to 95%+)
Constructed with corrosion-resistant materials such as FRP, PVC, or PP
Compact design with low pressure drop and low energy consumption
Customizable for single-stage or multi-stage scrubbing processes
Equipped with pH control, liquid level monitoring, and automatic dosing systems (optional)
The Acid-Alkali Fume Scrubber ensures compliance with environmental emission standards and enhances workplace air quality by safely neutralizing harmful gases before they are released into the atmosphere.
